Somalia(ANN)An al-Qaida-linked Somali militant group says its American commander who was feared dead in early April is still alive. Al-Shabab militants released a statement on
their website Thursday saying Omar Hammami is in “areas under the control of Islam.” The group denied he had been killed, but no evidence to proof Al-ameriki at yet alive. Be for two week first time that Hammami has been rumored to have been killed. In March 2011, Somali officials said they had reports that he had died fighting government forces, On Friday, the American Enterprise Institute Gulf of Aden Report newsletter included a report that “There is speculation that Omar Hammami, the American al Shabaab leader, was executed on April 4 by other al Shabaab members.” But Al-sbabab denying the report after two week ago.
